OUR PROCESS
Lavandula's wedding invitation designers take a consultive approach to guiding you through our design process. We want to ensure that this process is fun, exciting and that you end up with something that is unique to you as a couple!
Some couples have more ideas about their wedding invitation than others. They often see something they know they like and want exactly that.
For the ones that don't yet have this vision – we provide a calming roadmap to help us learn about their ideas of the wedding day. This conversation starts with questions like -
...how formal?
...is it going to be a religious ceremony?
...what are your wedding and reception venues?
...do you have color ideas?
...what is the number of attendants you expect to have?
...will it be a seated dinner vs buffet?
The answer to these questions allows us to collaboratively starting working through how many invitation pieces we need, what the wording for the invitations might sound like, and more. By painting this vision and telling us about your wedding ideas, we start gleaning information about the formality and style of your invitation.
At the end of this consultation process, you will be assured that your vision of this special day will come through in our design.
Once we have agreed upon an initial direction for the design we can use samples of our previous works to help answer questions about types of papers and printing processes such as letterpress, engraving or digital. We will also discuss specialty options such as laser cutting, die-cutting, edge painting, paper duplexing as well as other embellishments.
